Genetic Genealogy Out of the Mainstream is a personal blog written and shared by me using the WordPress.com platform. Readers are invited to participate with moderated comments. The moderation is intended to filter out spam, trolling, inappropriate behavior and language, or improper revealing of other’s personal information. My intention is not to suppress dissenting viewpoints, but if someone persists with repeating then same viewpoint without furthering the discussion, those comments may be blocked. Please carefully consider how much of your own personal information you care to reveal and do not include any information that may make another living person a part of the discussion without that person’s consent. If you comment and later decide that you would like the remarks removed, please contact me with that request.

Your privacy is of upmost importance to me. I do not track visits to the blog other than the summary statistics given by the blogging software. I never sell personal information. I will keep your email address private and will only use it for correspondence between us. If you wish to cease corresponding just let me know and I will purge your email address from my contacts. Likewise, if you supply me with any kit numbers or family data, I will keep them private unless I get your consent to share. At your request, I will also purge them from my records.

I may also use this blog site to arrange for research and consulting work with interested parties and solicit contributions of data for research purposes. In either of these cases, your information and data will be kept completely private and will be deleted at your request if you change your mind. Research and consulting will culminate in a report. Unless you request that I keep it on file, the report and associated data will be deleted after two months, allowing a reasonable time to replace a lost report or to give you a chance to decide if you want additional services.
